a few on the tweaks asylum were talking about it and since it's a low power fuse on the order of usually less than 1 amp, it must be some kind of inductance wound on an iron former with a certain type of wire that will open at the current level needed. It will also filter higher order inaudible trash harmonics from the AC power line or speaker fuse.
I requested that an inspection inside would be nice if any of them had blown but never heard since.

Damn. I blew one of their cheaper fuses (a Blue, I think) in the little integrated I run on the AV system several weeks back. It never occurred to me dissect it. If I burn another one I'll see what I can do about an autopsy and report back.
The one that blew, really blew. As in kind of exploded. I mean, there was no drama or anything, but when I got it out of the holder it was blown out.
ok, give it a try next time. It might be at least interesting
