These are just updated Walsh drivers. How is a re-hash of a 1970's design "new and innovative?"
And why are they in a PLANAR speaker discussion?
We get that you are a member here, and you heard these and they thrilled you, and you wanted to report that- but really they are NOT "on topic."
As far as I have been able to determine there is no dealer showroom in the US where I could go and hear them. There's some guy selling them out of his house in New Jersey, but that's all I could find with a web search. Certainly no dealer in Chicago that I can find. (And yes I realize that Chicago is small potatoes, given that there are only 10 million people living in the metro area....)
They weren't at Axpona for 2022; Apona is the largest audio exhibit in North America.... so, gee wiz, how can I hear them? Will someone here fly me to Munich?
Science doesn't care what you believe.
Follow Ups:
it would be so easy to see the proof.
Otherwise, post on the speaker asylum, got it?
they are more similar to a planar speaker than any other kindhere are the details

it's a glorified Walsh like someone said
It is not a planar. This belongs on AA Speaker
a few folks on here are displeased that I have mentioned this speaker on the planer forum - best to just delete the whole thing as I don't want to displease anyone

If you're not willing to stand behind your posts and want the moderators to bail you out, maybe that's indicative of the issue???

Any more?? Maybe you have a different definition of unpleasantness than I do. There hasn't been any at all, as far as I'm concerned.
If I wanted to get unpleasant, you would have known it. :)
It's just an off-topic thread from a fan-boy. I don't see any harm in it at all.
Dave.
you are a jerk !
I suggest to take a listen to a pair of the Ohm 3000 Tall model. You might be surprised how well those match up to the GP speakers. And they're way way way way less money.
Cheers,
Dave.
heard the 2000 - no thanks !
got the 4's for 200 dollars from a Rich Mexican Doctor who had a bad back and his wife was yelling at him to get rid of them in a Mansion one mile form the Mexico border - I could not believe it and my Daughter now rocks out with them at her house
those are not even real Walsh drivers by the way and not even close to the German Pysiks - LOL
what a great forum
"those are not even real Walsh drivers by the way and not even close to the German Pysiks - LOL"Actually neither are the DDD drivers. But Ohm & Walsh & DDD have a lot more similarities than differences....and very certainly relative to conventional speakers.
Your daughter may have better taste than you. We're getting somewhere!
I don't know what a Mexican doctor with a PITA wife has to do with any of this, but I guess this sort of ridiculous rhetoric is the way you roll. Classic!
Dave.
