We are looking at having a new split system installed. Made it through the Summer, hopefully by Spring things will be "normal". Heater works, never had A/C...I don't think I can go one more Summer without!
NO AC!!!! man you must be a tough cookie...here in Tennessee, even at a bit of elevation humidity and heat makes AC an absolute necessity. Good luck with your upgrade. Dont know where you are, but if the relative humidity is like ours (90%+ in the summer) your house would certainly benefit from a big dehumidifier in the HVAC system.
California. No humidity. I lived in Knoxville for a bit and just couldn't stand the humidity. Unless you are born into it I don't think you can adjust. I also lived in MN, and had no trouble with the cold, it was the summer humidity that did me in.
It's just getting hotter here now, used to be a few 90 days, now we're up into the 100's and even here it doesn't cool off enough over night to get the house cool. And running tubes doesn't help!
