Well I'll post it anyway :)
Here is the difference between 6.5" (blue) and 12" distance to the sidewalls in a Limage setup in my room (speakers about 42% from front wall) My ears say the same thing; clearly more bass all the way from 30hz to 200 hz with the 6.5" distance, so as I find the bass a little thin compared to the nearfield setup, so that is where I have them.
Follow Ups:
It's great that you have the measurements, and I bet the imaging with the Limage is amazing. I have mine set up Rooze ... similar concept. The big issue is that enormous peak and null! I had a similar issue in my room and it took 20+ bass traps and Dirac Live to level it out.

25? Cheesus. What size room? I have made a few DIY bass traps, the "pro" ones probably absorb a little more efficiently, but heck if the DIY work and you don't mind the look, and save $$$ why not. Haven't experimented placing any in the room and remeasuring yet.
Looks like your traps reduced the null's at 70 and 250hz, or perhaps shifted them slightly; good to know, that's exactly what I was looking for :) That 200hz one actually became a bump! Interesting.
I see we have the same amp(s)
Thanks for the response.
My bass traps are 2x4ft fiberglass 4, 6 or 8 inches thick. Room-facing surfaces have heavy craft paper. All wrapped in speaker cloth. They're in all four corners and some hanging across the ceiling/wall. The "pro" ones aren't that much better below 100Hz, if at all. It's very hard to bring down that 40Hz and nearly impossible to bring up a deep null like the 60Hz. This was a progressive effort over a couple year period as I rearranged the room. I took measurement with each incremental step so I knew they did something.
What I learned was, it was worth doing but in the end I still needed digital room correction. I first used an Antimode 8033 for the subs, then PEQ filters in JRiver .. finally Dirac Live did the complete job.
