Hi Andy,This is one of the reasons I was referring to, isolating the bass from distorting the mid/tweet.

Others reasons are the ability to physically time align drivers and move the bass driver out of room nodes. Ever notice that the 30.7's are never aligned in a straight row (except maybe for some photo ops)?

best response with the front wall reflection included may mead that the woofer panels are not in the same front to back plane as the mid/tweet panel. Ideally setting these up is worth the work and where they end up sounding best might not be the best for pictures.
