If so, which one, and why did you chose that particular one?
If not, why not?

I use Sound Anchor stand for my 3.6 and like it a lot. It's much more solid than the stock stand and the industrial design is aesthetically clean and elegant to my taste, plus the tilt adjustment feature makes buying this stand a no brainer. I'd venture to say this is my last stand.

the Sound Lab "Ultimate" uses tubular steel frames to realize the same benefits. I'm sold on the idea with mine.
"The high reactive mass of the framework eliminates frame vibrations, thus eliminating frame resonance and insuring that all sonic energy is converted to music."
Thanks to guys like Grant who provide that capability for the Magnepan community. :)
I've put weights on the stock stands and it makes a difference sonically. Can I presume that the stands would make a similar sonic difference?
3.6's with Mye stands, points and pads on hardwood. Very sturdy, raise the speaker, and very easy to install. Grant is very classy, and makes an amazing product without compromise.
Using Airborne on my little LRS's. Huge improvement.
Grant's Mye stands on 3.6's and 20.1's because they are a excellent product and Grant is an great vendor.

Articulating wall mount for Maggie Center Channel.
I use Mye stands on my MGIII's. Why Mye? I like the design, they are very sturdy, attach to the speakers without doing any damage, and the Mye website gave good information and pictures.
The money spent on the Mye stands is easily the best bang for the buck of my various system upgrades.

My little MMGs in the bedroom rig were done by Pedro Gunn.
Yes,i'm using the MYE Stands on my 3.6r's. I used the stock stands for awhile than switched over to the MYE stands. I figured if the difference wasn't enough I could probably sell them without issue. Without getting into a review they made the sound more solid I guess a little more mid-bass. Besides I didn't like the fact if you just bump into or touch the Maggies with the stock stands they wobble,i'm not a engineer or someone that measures every little thing but that doesn't seem right to me. If it sounds good to me in my room thats al that matters to me.
I just use the stands that magnepan provides. The speakers are in a free state. Those aftermarket stands that attach to the sides have to put the frame in a slight twist. If the frame distorts just a little so does the diaphragm.
You obviously haven't seen how the Mye stands are engineered and how they attach, else you wouldn't make such ignorant comments.
What are you talking about?
Too much is never enough
Not true. They do not need to, nor do they, put the frame in a twist. They simply hold the panels rigidly.
They are already rigid.
Hardly. You know not of what you speak.
Magnepan frames are made of MDF and any of the models can easily be twisted.
Stating that aftermarket stands "have to put the frame in a slight twist" is complete nonsense and impugns Grant's excellent products.
Dave.
I use Mye stands on my 3.6's well worth the money

That part is an opinion, stating my stands twist the panels is simply incorrect.
Just the oval base with my 3.7i, hard as I try I don't feel any real vibrations or see the speakers sway. $$ can be better spent on other items like a sub.

You can't feel the MDF frame vibrating when there are bass transients?
Amazing! (The music you listen to must be female singer plus guitar! :-)) )
And of course you can't actually see them sway. But that doesn't mean that braced stands aren't doing something good.

if the Mye stands do something to improve the performance of the Maggies (which I'm not questioning), why doesn't the Mfg just build it in??? Seems like a no-brainer to me! Additional cost to Mfg of say $50-$75 for a relatively expensive speaker, and you get say 5-15% improvement in performance. So why doesn't Mfg jump on board with this. Oh, tried a pair of 1.7's, but sold them because my 65wpc tube amp just could not drive them properly in my opinion. I think they are a great speaker, did not like selling them, but they need power to open up and I'm not going to swap out my HK Cit-II.
Mmmmm:
#1 - remember, every $ of mfg cost means at least $5 on the sell price.
Magnepan have stayed in business for over 50 years by watching their costs carefully.
#2 - I doubt that the mfg cost of Mye stands is just $50-$75!
And 1.7s - as you say, " they need power to open up ".
If you wanted to keep to tubes ... I suggest you'd need one of EveAnna's creations - say a pair of Manley Snappers or the Neo Classic 250. :-))
Or you use a tube preamp with, say, a Magtech.
Andy
Mye stands for 3.7i Maggies. Really like these for rigid support and adjustability. Very well designed, IMO.
Cheers,
