I seem to remember the MMG being part of a trade up program. Is this still a thing? If I brought LRSs and decided to upgrade to 1.7s within a certain time frame etc.?
Follow Ups:
I am happy with LRS/Rythmic system.

I would definitely love to try the Rythmics. I've looked at them for a long time. The price is really out of my budget when considering two though. They're nearly twice the price of the REL T/5i that I'm also looking at.
I use one 15 in. My listening space is open to the entire first floor. One is enough. Multiple subs can help create a more uniform bass response around the room. I am OK with one sub in my room.

You can probably get your money back on the LRS when you sell them they seem to command $600 to $650 on the used market as buyers don't want to wait.

You're probably right. I Could probably get close as long as I didn't have to ship them.
Their site, LRS page:
"The LRS 60-day, money-back, home-trial program allows you to sample Magnepan's full-range ribbon technology for $650 pair in your home against the very best box speakers (at any price). We hope you will take the challenge."
But I'd call to be sure.
As if you didn't already know, you can get the most accurate answer direct from the horse's mouth, (just call Magnepan, they'll be more than happy to get your money).
