You might want to consider hooking a 9v battery to the wire to energize the wire so it is held down by the magnets. Watch the temp.
I married the perfect woman. The downside is everything that goes wrong is my fault.
Follow Ups:
My BRIEF and Non-Audio experience w/ 3M77 tells me it is utter rubbish as 'adhesives' go.
It doesn't even stick to ITSELF very well. I tried sticking metalized mylar (space blanket) to a windoww blocker for my car out in Palm Springs where the outside temp can easily hit 110f = 43+c. Car interior? Almost too hot to breath.
Cover I made de-laminated a few months down the road.
I'd find some other kind of sticky stuff and give that a try.
Too much is never enough
I was in Palm Springs last August, wife won a raffle at her job for a weekend there.
Now I've been to a few cities in the Middle East (including the Sahara desert -in July), but nothing -repeat- nothing is hot as it is in Palms Springs!

Ya got THAT right, and 100%, at that.Un believable HEAT.
I was in INDIO, just down the road from PS attending to the court house. My ride managed to leave her headlamps ON so we were waiting for a Jump. During the wait? I MELTED the Soles OFF MY Nike Sneakers. Melted 'em right off. Laugh until you cry.
While doing some house sitting in La Quinta, also close to PS, I did a demo for my nephews. I took an ICECUBE outside and put it on a ManHole Cover. It simply evaporated, and left a tiny wet spot which disappeared in another 4 seconds. Very good demonstration of Sublimation.
My car, than a Nissan Maxima, was garage kept overnite. STILL, the steering wheel was just about too HOT to touch.
Driving around mid-day is like being cast in a Real Bad SciFi movie. No traffic. No Pedestrians.
and the obligatory piece of NewsPaper blowing down the middle of the street.
Creepy. The place has gotten HUMID, too, which you woudn't expect from a place getting so little rain. But given the number of Golf Courses and the fact that they water them 6x or 8x Daily, you can see where the humidity comes from.
They've just about ruined the place. Bob Hope has officially rolled over in his Grave.
My brother says Doha is hotter. And has awful wind, in season.
Too much is never enough

Indio! La Quinta! Palm Springs! In February of 2016 I moved from Palm Desert after living there since 2010. 115-120 degrees in July and August! People have to walk their dogs before the sun comes up, because after that the sidewalks and pavement burns the pads on their feet. Bill Johnson (ARC) had a winter home a few miles from me, in Indian Wells. I'm loving the dark, damp Northwest now.
I finished them and are listening to them now. Nice!!!!!!
