Hello, i was going to sell my mg-2,3 speakers but i love them. i have not used them in 5 years, the 6ft mg-3 speakers i repaired a bass rattle inone and have resoldered tweeter breaks many times.. i paid $300 a pair at different times but instead of basicly giving them away because of in-op tweeters i would like to pull out the bad and renew them myself...so i was checking on here for wire type, magnet copper wire? gauges for bothe my mg2 tweeters never worked but i`m sure it`s an easy time consuming affair...any diagrams, help pdf`s or whatever would be great...thanks so much
Follow Ups:
MG II has aluminium wires, AWG 31 or 32. Copper wire will be twice the mass for the same resistance. MG III has a ribbon tweeter, no wires. Midrange is AWG 31 or 32.

any idea what link, i did not find a repair kit or my speakers list at magnepans site?
either ring the factory direct (Minneapolis) if you are in the US or order through your country agent, if not. I ordered my kit through the Oz Magnepan importer.
Regards,
Andy
I rebuilt my IIIa"s a couple of years ago. Fun project if you get your head in the right place and do not rush it.
Get the repair kit for the MG2 and replacement for the ribbon in the MGIII from Maggy. the aluminum wire kit is around $30-$40 and replace ribbons are a bout $100 each. The ribbon price is based on an exchange for your old ribbons. You can rebuild the ribbons also but I understand its quite tedious. Lost of info here and on MUG, just have to search
