With the rise of devitrified food, should this information actually be a surprise?
I had to ASK my doctor for serum Vitamin D. And had been take a supplement for 6 months or more prior to the blood draw.
But still, I was in-range but not as high as mid-range.
Food has some nutrition stripped away and used in other foodstuffs or simply sit around too long to be as 'vital' as when grown.
I doubt that here in the USA, enough fresh veggies and fruits are eaten......on a daily basis....
