Where did it come from?--Page 1 of the "Extortionist's Handbook"? You want justice/peace, you don't open with threats or implications of violence. What else can they begin the negotiation with?
They've been waiting 150 years and asking nicely doesn't work.Edit: And yes, I'm being facetious. I'm not advocating for any property damage. But I totally understand a desire to deal out some disruption after spending your life in such an adversarial justice system.

...that racism is still pervasive in many areas of this country, and in all aspects of society, BUT--why can't the protesters rally behind a "better" role-model? I'm not really motivated to rally/riot on behalf of a convicted felon, high on drugs, committing a crime, and/or with outstanding arrest warrants and resisting arrest. Sorry--I don't care what color or sex or religion you are, at that point.
And I do blame the MSM for a lot of this "social unrest". When I watched the earliest coverage following the Rittenhouse verdict, the "reporters" were basically "baiting" their interviewees to start some shit. "If it bleeds, it leads..."--that's not a falsehood. The producers back in the control room were probably furious--"what?--no violence yet?--push harder!"--and I'm not kidding--cynical, YES--but not joking.
"So I talk to the night, I head for the light, try and hold it on the road. Thank God for the man who put
the white lines on the highway"--a very dear friend for decades Michael Stanley (Gee)--RIP
maybe 150 years ago or as recent as 50 years ago it was an adversarial system but times had changed and the community didn't. They still adhere to the old ways and follow their corrupt leaders because it's the easiest way to blame the system for their own ineptitudes. Open any newspaper on the crime page and it's all clear.
