I'm not so sure it was "unanimously." If they were all in agreement the verdict should have come sooner.
Follow Ups:
How many counts? How much INTERNAL discussion by the Jurors? How many questions did they ask of the judge?
I'd rather THIS decision in this manner than OJs jury taking 4 hours?...they hardly had TIME to send out for coffee.....
And yes, by definition it WAS a unanimously reached decsion on ALL COUNTS......Or it would not have gotten back to the judge except.....MAYBE...... A decision on a few counts and hopelssly Hung on the remainder, which DIDN'T happen....
Too much is never enough
AFAIK, only Florida allows juries to convict or acquit based on a majority vote.
The problem is not that there is evil in the world, the problem is that there is good. Because otherwise, who would care?

I know,. Everywhere except Oregon now. What I am saying is that if they were all in such agreement about the verdict, it wouldn't have taken this long.
I was beginning to think there would be a deadlock.
I saw the judge ask them if they were unanimous. The answer was yes. He went even further and asked if any of them disagreed with any of the verdicts, crickets.
You can't really disagree with the verdict if you voted for it. I personally think that judge was kind of stupid.
'I personally think that judge was kind of stupid'
I think he was kind of 'activist' and it showed
but not even 'kind of'
Yeah, I was trying to be generous. I don't know why.
Maybe the jury took their time to get it right?
