What is the definition the low salt diet you are supposed to be on?

Low salt isn't no salt Dr. Tweaker. It's 1400 -2000 mg per day. I had blood work yesterday and my blood levels of sodium are at the lower end of normal. Thank you for your concern.
Who said it was? Just don't let it get to 2001 mg or you will turn into a pumpkin. The AHA prefers 1500 max.

It's low. Do you know yours? Oh wait, your level is of no consequence as so many poor people have low D levels and are dying.
"The reference range for serum sodium is 135-147 mmol/L" As far as I know, and the below study shows it as such, dietary sodium has very little effect on the measurement of plasma sodium. NA appears to be pretty tightly regulated, by the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system as far as I can tell. At the present time I have drastically decreased my NA dietary intake from levels very likely to be way lower than US average with obvious positive results. I have read that there are a number of shall we say tribal people who live on like 200-700mg sodium a day without a problem from low NA. So, to sum up, it's low NA intake that is needed, not low plasma levels. Tweaker456
