Nothing personal 51, you bought this response for being last on the list.
Anyway, there is Linux. Thing is it is like learning MAC. But less money but less support.
Friend of mine emails, a Win 10 update came and he waa using Firefox, for some time and had a ton of bookmarks in it. Windows completely deleted it and forced him into Edge, and didn't have the common fucking decency to pick up his bookmarks.
I don't feel like it, but I wouldn't mind a collaberation of info on :
A. When did 95 come out ?
2. How much of the market was using it in the same time Win 10 has been out
#. How long has Win 10 been out ?
(to reach a whopping 13% of the market !)
If I have to learn all this shit gain, Linux is the better choice just because of the money.
Follow Ups:
I've got a Windows 95b disc around here somewhere. I think this was the first version to support USB....than only USB1, at that.
In those days, the Norton 'crash protect' that came with the antivirus CAUSED more problems than it cured......
98 was very good for its time, while ME was a disaster. I still hae a laptop with 2k Pro and a copy of XP around here somewhere.......
Too much is never enough
"Anyway, there is Linux."No, there isn't Linux. There are multiple suppliers and versions of "Linux", and, it's an "open source" "product", which makes it a non-starter as a mainstream operating system. That is why, after 25-plus years, it's still a niche operating system and a small player in the world of personal computers.
If you read my earlier post, you'd already know that I wrote Linux is NOT a contender. If it were, it'd been king of the hill LONG AGO.
To sum up, and reiterate, the world needs a new operating system.
