This Tesla owner lives in the "coldest city in the world." At least, that's what the title says. While that may not be true, Winnipeg is certainly very cold. A quick online search brings up reports calling the city the coldest major city in Canada and the coldest city in North America. Winnipeg reaches an average low of -19.2°C (-2.6°F) each winter, with around 12 days of temps at or below -30°C (-22°F).

You could have heat, but no defrosters.
Had another car with a gas tank leak, could only put $10 worth of gas in it before it started leaking.
Yet another car, if I wanted to adjust the air temperature, I had to open the hood and move the lever on the control valve that sent coolant to the heater core.
Y'all are spoiled.

Had to get volunteers to push so I could bump start by popping the clutch.
Not much to whine about these days. Its all relatives.
It took forever to get from any speed to it's top speed of 55 mph. And if you had a slight grade, you'd be lucky to maintain 50 mph.
Of course, just about once a month, I had to retune it to get it started.
On the bright side, I never got a speeding ticket.

Same. My brother and I had to help him bump start it couple of times every week.
Another thing about those old Bugs was the so-called heating system. In our climate, all of the complex mechanism rusted during the first winter. After that the heat was stuck on. Anybody brave enough to ride in the back seat got his or hers ankle cooked. Well done.
But, we went to Sea World of Ohio in that car. Six of us. My sisters had to ride facing each other in the well behind the back seat.

I had a '73, SUPER which was the 1st year with struts in the front.
I'd have the heat / defrost on and hit a California DIP at an intersection. Too bad it was full of WATER.
Car instantly filled with Live Steam and fogged the windows. I'm lucky I didn't kill myself or someone else.
Too much is never enough
On the rear seat passenger's Achilles tendon in July but not on the inside of the windshield in January. Wintertime driving, one hand on the wheel and the other hand on the ice scraper.
And yet, they sold millions of them. Couldn't build them fast enough to whet our appetite.
Yes, we are truly spoiled.

Turning on the heater allowed exhaust in. With no money to repair the manifold, I drove around in the winter with no heat wrapped in a blanket. My girl friend and I went to drive in movies with coats and blankets in that clunker. I admit that I am spoiled today.
...I-6 in the "dog-box" between the front seats, and a three on the tree. You want heat?--you got lots of it. The engine and radiator were both under that "lid" between the seats LOL. Totally "flat-front"--the seats were ahead of the front wheel wells. No crash protection whatsoever. Aerodynamics of a 2-car garage, but enough torque from that I-6 to move it.

It was his work truck (TV repairman, back when there were such things).
Very cool vehicle.

Reminds me of moving from NewYork to Texas in 1976.
Crossed the country in a 71 Cuda and stopped every 100 miles for fuel.

Had a boat-anchor 351M. The needle in the gas gauge moved faster than the needle in the speedo.
