I think a V6 would diminish sales TBH
For me it'd very possibly be a deal breaker if I were otherwise considering it.
Follow Ups:
V6 could be faster and handle better while improving economy and perhaps even tire wear.
Lots ot like about losing 200lb, maybe, and maintaining power to weight.
I'm just noodling out loud here. Just like the Mustang GT is a stone age relic.....
Too much is never enough
For sure, I'm just a cylinders guy. I've had nice 6's (BMW, and even my 6 cylinder SUV has 310HP), but a Corvette... love the V8 sound, cubes.
I'm 100% with the sound.
Ever heard one of the Flat Plane FORD motors in the 'Stang?
Nice.
I'm just thingking the FUTURE is not with the V8. The last of 'em, pretty much, is the 5.0 in the LC500 Lexus and THAT is an really nice 470+ HP. NICE! The Last 5.0 I like was in the Camaro Z28 in what....'68 or '69? And THAT wass advertised as 275 and went pretty good.
I think you'd be satisfied with a V-6 (90 degree? 60degree?) at full tilt.
I hope you'd agree that th day of the pushrod design is about 20 years ago.....
Too much is never enough
