Yep.....the older model.
I can't off hand tell 'em apart. Like model to model 911 changes. Or run of the model changes in the OLD VW Beetle. Which I had a fair grip on.
Any way you slice it? That white one i photographed is pretty nice.

You're allowed.
ME? I think I'd at least TEST the DCT or whatever it comes with. A LOT is riding on this drastic change in configuration......

Took a picture over to be framed, guy who runs the frame shop has one.
Big car. Bigger than my POS Cobalt, that's for sure.
The old Corvette was a complex beast. Rear transaxle, etc. I don't even want to think about mid-engine with a DCT.

At least you no longer have that Pesky Drive Shaft to worry about. ;)
And the advantages of 'central mass' to handling, lower polar moment and potentially lower CG ALL work to better handling.
Once fully developed, the new 'Vette architechture will be a force to be reckoned with.
You know, of course, that the ORIGINAL 'Vette, maybe C1 thru C3 or maybe C4, was essentially a parts-bin car. Stock pieces from around the GM / Chevy line wrapped in a neat and squeeky fiberglass body. Front suspension from the '53 BelAir. Rear axle ftom something else....and so on.
Even that original straight six? Right out of the box, except for the intake.
Than it got WEIRD.
