Penix and Fryfogle (and the other IU receivers) deeply exposed the OSU secondary weakness. I think it was 487 yds passing.
If IU had better run defense, the game would have turned out differently.
If Penix had not thrown that one Pic 6, IU would have tied the game for OT.

He looked at times, like Baker Mayfield playing the Ravens.

It's crazy that IU hung in with no run offense at all, a average of -0.1 yards oer run. OTOH, Northwestern should be favored in their last 3 games and would play OSU in the Championship.
Stranger things have happened this year.

Meanwhile, the Ducks looked anemic in scraping by a UCLA team led by a redshirt freshman in his first start. They also looked like butter with Demetric Felton playing the role of red-hot knife.
Ducks suffered a terrible loss in the game: all-universe LB frosh Noah Sewell (yeah, Penei's younger (bro) was taken off after what appeared to be possibly a broken leg injury. This, after the other 5-str LB recruit, Flowe, earlier was placed on the injury list.
Doesn't look good in Eugene, this season...
