I've bought a bunch of these hoses and like them quite a bit as they're the only ones that are still great after 10 years and several others that have been thrown out. What I hate is that the nozzle ends start leaking after a while and most of them has a repair kit installed.
I just bought another one the other day to replace an old green hose that was cracking hard as a rock and impossible to coil up. You're right, the fittings are aluminum now.

Follow Ups:
I was browsing and searching Amazon and couldn't find the 4500 series. The 2000, 3000, and 4000 series were all available with aluminum fittings and many were rated at Heavy Duty or Extra Heavy Duty Commercial and/or Pro use. They were also available in 5/8 or slightly larger 3/4 inch diameter.
Is the 4500 series a current model?
That's weird. I bought the last one at Lowes. After looking at Amazon, it seems like this year's models switched over to aluminum fittings.
It seems like the difference is that the 4000 series costs twice as much and is a 3.4" hose versus 5/8" on the 4500 which doesn't make sense for the bigger number.
