We're redoing a century old co-op in D.C. to call home in our retirement. The kitchen is a total gut job and we're debating Thermador vs Wolf for the gas stove/oven. Any opinions one way or another? We'll be adding a dish washer, fridge and stacked washer-dryer, too, but the SO seems to have in mind what she wants.
We've gone back and forth on counter tops. I think we're going with quartz stedda granite.
I'm scared to death to see what it costs to get the crane to hoist the AC unit to the roof.
Yes, I've made room for audio, but most of the CDs are going bye-bye but I'll have storage space for what I keep.

When I was buying a few years ago, this looked like the best deal to me. We love it, altho I wish the simmer on the smallest burner would go even lower
We have a Thermador 6 burner. I really love the low simmer and wish it worked on more than one burner.
It's a bit over 10 years old and was inherited in the purchase. The advantage is that it's simple, no electronics which break a day after the warranty expires. Our only problem was the oven. It turned out to be the igniter which cost me $80 maybe.
Ours looks like this one so it hasn't changed much if at all in 11 years.
Dishwashers are another issue. The Bosch required a new input valve and then started leaking after 10 years. We replaced it with a Kitchenaid which likely won't last any longer though it's even quieter.

I think that the bigger question is - how many burners do you need -
and what do you want for the biggest burner?
I put in a Dacor 5 burner top and have been very pleased - but wish I had gone for 6-
If you want a high BTU burner - I think Wolf will have the edge - but it has been a while since I looked-
