A thread from the Hatteras forum at Sam's Marine, starts with an inquiry on propeller shaft diameter on a 65' Convertible then moves to propellers (aka wheels) having two boats at the same time, then 12 versus 16 cylinder engines, then fuel burn rates..
Follow Ups:
While I have traveled many a mile on ships, I prefer hobie cat daysailing over any power boat.
My guideline, if it floats, flys or eats, rental is the way to go.
And I agree about the money part. I once tried to get a handle on costs on a ship I was crewing. I was guessing about $5.000 an hour, not counting shore support costs, and before fuel costs went crazy. One docking fee I was aware of, $17.000. One ship had a helicopter and crew standby @ $10.000 an hour, for about three and a half hours , so they could lift the rotating radar head in place, while awaiting the radar tech to arrive. I did ok, but never got that kind of money thrown my way.
that with the latter you stand under a HOT shower while tearing up $100 bills.
Basically, yawwwwwwrrrrrnnnn.

Maybe I should post Rodney Gold's beautifully written review of his new speakers at the Hatteras forum to see what kind of negativity is found there.

Boating has been one heck of a good time for us. I like doing the maintenance and making improvements, my wife loves getting out on the water and serving as fleet captain in our boat club.
Having the right size boat allows us to shower in fifties.
And a bigger, purpose designed listening room. But still relatively small.
