Must be nice to only run the AC in the afternoon. Here in Dallas, it's 7:40 AM, it's already 79, and the AC is running.
Same here in New Orleans. The lows in summer are like 80 degree. AC runs all summer. We have a programmable thermostat that turns it down for sleeping and then up 3 degrees for day time. The humidity here is stupid. Our air is like soup in the summer.
Have you been to Houston?
Other than being on the gulf, I'm still not sure why that city exists.
I have spent lots of time in Houston. I have probably spent 3-4 years of my life there living in extended stay hotels working on projects that lasted 3-9 months.
Houston and New Orleans have similar weather. Actually, New Orleans gets most of the same weather patterns as Houston a day later.
We get some pretty hot days in the Denver area as well but the humidity is very low... unless it's about to rain.
It generally cools down at night and into early morning so we open the windows until about 9 a.m. when I shut everything and close the blinds. My wife complains that it's like living in a dark cave but she can't seem to understand that the bright light from the sun shining down in the rooms heats things up. We turn ON the AC in the afternoon.
