That's a few years back before she got a skin cancer on her face! Which is now threatening her eyelid and eye, and eating her face.It gets infected easily, a coco collar would only upset her, and the wound will not improve not matter what we do. She is in a lot of pain. So we have put her on pain killers, and will have her put to sleep, tomorrow morning.
So, we are giving her a lot of rope today, and yesterday after the visit to the vet. She slept in our room last night and will again tonight.
Warmest

Thoughts and prayers sent your way. As kavakidd said, "It's never easy".
You're doing the right thing though, and that's something to feel good about.
Hang in there.

I thought they were supposed to have cured cancer by now, dammit.
Very sorry!!

Sorry, to hear this Tim. You are doing the right thing, but that doesn't ease the pain.
The recent loss of my Calico, Mews, is still fresh in my mind and you have my heartfelt sympathy.

I am so sorry for you and your beautiful kitty. We lost our Tabby of 12 years to face cancer about three years ago. It's hard to decide to put our lovely kitties to sleep, but necessary for them. I feel your pain.
But I think you've made the right choice, when looked at from the perspective of who you're doing this for. I would wish that someone would love me enough...
