Do you recommend any particular brand of green tea?

I recommend going with the science which is 600 mg a day of 98% polyphenols and 50% EGCG. LEF sells their overpriced version. This is a pretty "high" dose. Since I'm having a hard time taking all the supplements I'm taking for a million reasons I just ordered 100g of 98% extract for $12.60 off ebay to mix in H2O. It's supposed to be bitter. I'll see how it goes. It has very little caffeine in it. It may reduce BP by a few points. Hardly any question that is a health promoting substance. I'll take 700 mg a day in divided doses if I can get it down but not 700 grams! It may be protective of the eyes among so many other things. I have to deal better with the BP thing so there will be lots of kool info comming soon for the very few interested. I figure if I give helpful info to even one person it's worth it. T456

you have to get on some meds for the high BP, I'm on valsartan, got down to 160 from 240.
There are lots of ways to potentially get bp down without the use of pharmaceuticals. Some herbs have been shown to be as or near as effective as some pharma drugs. Since pharmaceutical drugs have side effects even the Harvard Health Letter recommended taking 6 months to get it down on your own before going to pharma drug,so I remember reading. It would also depend on how high the pressure is and of course if it responds to alternative measures. Being on pharm drugs does not preclude the use of other agents or methods to further reduce it. Your decision to take drugs may have been or was a good one because yours was so high. T456

The VS green tea extract looks like it is a proper product similar to that use in the study reported on in LEF. I'll look into it if I can't get down the extract I bought.
