I think you got the math backwards?
770kg is about 1700lb, right?
Any way you slice it, that's a heavy piece of gear. And not for the 'small boat'.
I don't know what size boat can be fit with such a genset. Maybe something with a real 'engine room'?
I guess I was thinking in the 'MegaYacht' Category? Something over maybe 80 or 90 feet with all the fixtures such a boat would have. 12kw might not be enough?
Onan and Kohler are the first names that pop into my head.
Too much is never enough
Follow Ups:
Uh.. 770 lbs is only 350 kg, the new diesels might be all aluminum, and don't need a gear set. 620kg (1366 lbs) is very heavy for 12Kw output.
Agreed.
Not for 'small' or 'light' boats.
Larger yachts with CREW.
My impression from 1st post was you SWAPPED LB or KG. 770kg is right at 1700lb within rounding error.
Too much is never enough
