Looking at the Altec 1570 schematic (17173 DCR=257Ω) and the 6W6 data it looks to me like the 6W6's might have been conducting something just over 30mA. Maybe 35?
I noticed that the a and b versions of the amp differed by 30 volts on the plates (270/300)and 5 volts (30/35) on the grid bias.
I wonder if this is what you're looking for.
Follow Ups:
I just found this from Phil Sieg's article on Marcel and Clovis from his Valve Mag article. Nobody runs a 45 at 75mA. Was he adding the currents of the two ends of the winding or was he perhaps just stating Mike's spec for max current on the choke?
(Still it looks a bit strange, Vp=327V and Vg=-52V would mean 379VDC across the tube. Surely there's a typo there somewhere.)

I think your first post describing the current being 30-35 mA is probably correct. I'm not sure what to think of the Marcel and Clovis schematic. 40H + 40H is much more inductance than what I measured. I think it falls with decreasing frequency (I was measuring at roughly 200 Hz), but even so, I think 40H across the entire winding is closer to the truth.
