      Astrud was paid $120 to record on "Getz/Gilberto," and he ordered Creed Taylor to make sure Astrud did not receive any royalties from the song "Ipanema." Meanwhile the song sold more than 5 million copies!

        Stan Getz paid his dues prior to the Landmark recording. Who knew that Bossa Nova would catch on?
