I never heard him play soprano in those days. Only tenor. I know he went with a Selmer rubber soprano m'piece later. I like Galper's acoustic band that Mike played in better. Heard them live and almost threw my axes out the window when I got home.

He played Soprano on one or two James Taylor Albums.
Maybe he realised the Toll a Straight Selmer Soprano
would take on his right arm/hand...

Mike lived out here in the late 60s or early 70's , at some point.
I wish he's made This group The Fourth Way!
Couldn't get with with the Violin Player, who also played with John Handy.
a long time ago at Charlie Byrd's club in D.C. It was a different but killer group w/Bobby Hutcherson and Pat Martino - also have that group's LP.
