GEO,
I don't remember as to how far back I started posting photos with each response?, but I'd assume it started as far back as 2014. As our shared hobby involves two things.........., our system | music.
I've saved photos into my own personal gallery as reminders of items of interest, of which I'd love to own upon hearing a few of them, or as a means of exposing others of like mindset to said items. As many of my email buddies from various forum ( be that in USA | Hong Kong | Japan | Britain ) have seemed to ask me which brands or makes of components I've heard?, or would recommend on their behalf?, seeming as I've always been the sort since 1992-2014, whom was willing with a few then local buddies gas up the SVU and travel as far as NYC | LA | Oregon | Seattle areas to listen to different brands following their reviews, as a means of knowing what was for myself ( ourselves )........, so said photos are merely a means of trying to cause others to think outside the box, research said photos and extend one's knowledge base of the possibilities of what's out there, of late I'm exploring the different flavors of plated vs un-plated AC | IEC plugs on ones power cord(s) as it seems no one flavor suits all components, and ideally one needs to understand how to go about creating a collective whole, in regards to bringing out the best from each component as based upon synergy........., as well as creating said balance, which then should allow the end user(s) to enjoy their systems long term, as opposed to feeling the need to sell off their items | start anew | sometimes find they're moved laterally or backwards at best, simply because they overlooked the commonly based concept behind the importance of synergy, and their gear lacks cohesiveness.
For me........, said visual reminders are just that. Much like some seemingly love sharing photos of their systems, this is my way of getting others to think " what's this? " | " what if? ".
Like the photo left above........, as I'd have to imagine only a few here will know what they're?, or cost?, but the concept to me is clear, isolation devices | platforms are essential in fine tuning ones system.
In audio......, everything matters | it's the attention to detail which makes it all worthwhile.

Thanks. I had not noticed the photos before and didn't understand the context. The photos are nice. Are they your photos or stock?I was into tweaks briefly but don't really think about it much anymore. I have learned to settle for good enough. Thanks for sharing photos.
Look at your profile. I am a SE guy but have always been interested in the Audiomat Arpege. I owned a PP Graaf class A amp which is one of the few amps I wish I had kept.

Your welcome | Thanks for acknowledging my effects to brighten up said post.
These are usually nicer photos of said items of interest, I find on sites like HiFi Knight | High Fidelity Poland | HiFi - Advice, and than save as reminders once again of items I like sharing with my deep pocketed friends whom are able to afford them?, as I once enjoyed posting on forums like HiFi Shark, where it seems a lot of said types reside......., and usually ask me what I've heard?, or liked when it comes to gear.
Case in point......., when it comes to tube amplification, and venturing out to shops around the country when the bad knees allow?, the one brand that drew me into the music over cost was " Shindo Labs ", while certain brands cost a great deal more, yet to my ears weren't connecting with me when it came to expressing the emotional impact | overall tonality | attack of notes as experienced with said brand......., in other words, I felt Shindo strikes the prefect balance between old school ( 50s | 60s classical sound ) | more modern tube gear ( anything after 1995 ) which pursued a broader bandwidth | dynamic capabilities, yet lost that sense of textural beauty heard in older design concepts while pursuing what I hear as better top - low end extension, but at a cost.
In the past ( 2000 - 2004 ) I owned a Cary SEI-300B Integrated Amp | adored its overall sound, yet when it came to driving several pairs of Mini-Monitors I've owned ( as I tend to have between 3-5 pairs laying around at all times ) there were times when they needed more power, which then lead me to understand there are times where Push Pull designs are needed to allow one to drive their listening space in a manner which matches said space | said fulfilling the bare minimum of what each given speaker wants to see........, as said AudioMat, has more or less is being used by my younger brother, as I later on discovered I loved the more grounded sonics ( top-bottom ) as heard via a CR Development Kalypso EL84 based integrated from the UK, and started noticing how much like 300B designs, that EL34's while extremely nice sounding in the midrange section, lacked extension at the very top | lower ends attack wise | began to come across as slightly rose tinted to my ears.
Tweaks for me are merely away of voicing my components by ear, as I just can't justify spending $2.000 - $4.000 on an integrated amp | thinking those little .50 cent per rubber bumpers meant for it to sit atop are doing a decent enough job of dampening vibrations away for active internal components which themselves vibrate, hence my willingness to investigate said items ( ebony wood Shun Mook or Ball Bearing based footers ) since 2004, even replacing RCA Jacks | Binding Post on gear, brings about remarkable improvements, which are once heard, one has to question relying upon stock versions of anything stuck onto their gear, regardless of cost, as I tend to suspect said items are either nickel or brass based, for me pure copper underneath brings about said textural | tonal beauty, it's very very hard to go back.
I've followed the range of Graaf amps, like most things British or German designs since the late 80s, and when it comes to amplification, then to buy imports over domestic made gear, as there's a lot to be said about functionality | cost versus thick faceplates | pursuit of more power ( anything over 100 watts per channel ) to my mind losses a certain sense of beauty or delicacy if one was to ask me......., as the saying goes " there are times where to much power, caused one to lose sight of self " as well as overkill.
In over 3/4th of the world outside of the USA, many are more than content with amps ranging from 30-80 watts per channel for a reason, it's more than just room side, it's about said sense of finesse | balance of attack that counts most to my particular mindset, power be damned.
Even with downloaded files, I usual pursue higher resolution album cover artwork, than settle on what looks as if it was copied from a dollar bin outside a record store, where they were free to take......., no beat up | bent | hole punched LP covers, ever made it into my music collection, regardless of how rare some of them might've been.
Yes......, I'm weird that way, but than I tend to buy with both ears | eyes, it just had to offer a certain appeal in that manner | when it comes to jazz......, man don't get me started, unless you've 4-9 hours to listen.
Be well | Stay safe......, and know that I've been following your recommendations on more than a few jazz albums | trust your ears.
O_o scar
Thanks for the post. I have been into custom gear. Even my DAC has been upgraded. The manufacturer, Jerry Ozment (RIP) was so fond of the nickel transformers that i put in my Dac, I believe he made them stock. I also had him put in some VCap OIMPs that he loved.
You're more than welcome........., and it seems you've a very special DAC on your hand, enjoy it.
