One of Potter's contemporaries that I like more was Craig Handy. He was musical. I also preferred Seamus Blake. Eddie Henderson loves playing with Seamus when he was just emerging. He called him a double dicked dog when I met him at Bradley's!! I had seen Eddie's earlier gig with Victor Lewis and Seamus at Visiones.

He had 5 or 6 really good records and then played mostly as a sideman. Really a musical player. Look for some of the Roy Haynes records.
