Afaik, the drivers are custom made (except the compression driver), but maybe Mark will correct me if I'm wrong. That's why I mentioned that the mids are more difficult to find for a diy version - there's not really much out there that works well for this app. I think it was an Audax HM100Z0 that was used as the prototype mid, but it cost $50 and has been discontinued anyway.
