Hi Kevin,
That'd be great! Are you sure you want to do all that driving though? Should I just get in touch with you via email closer to the date and when I figure out what I'll have working? The horn sub should be done for sure - I only have one more panel to attach and then some gaskets to put in, so hopefully I'll get to listen to it this weekend.John
John,
Pick-ups from work always available, but nothing covered. Lately, not too great for monsoons sweeping through here. Last night was amazing, with MANY inches of water, continuous house-shakin' thunder, and hours of cloud to ground lightning blasts. Cars floated away, in many places around town. Satellite blocked, power off and on.If home, I could get it down there somehow well before the event and just let you have it for awhile. Of course, you would need to sign over your first-born child, even if it is a horn. If in West Lafayette, that might be closer for Kevin. Just let me know.
Tim
Wow, nothing like that last night in my neck of the woods (I am in W Lafayette for the summer - taking more classes). A little damp, but I left my car windows down and it was fine this morning...Are you talking about lending the transport for when you guys come here? I was going to ask if someone could bring a better source. Mine sucks, to put it nicely. It's a good day if it doesn't eat a disk... I'll have to talk to you about that at Kevin's bash.
I did a trial assembly of the two main pieces of the horn sub this evening. The thing is frickin' huge. I think you guys will like it.
John
now that you mention it, Arcam FMJ CD player, Rotel 990, the beloved CEC with outboard DAC.The Ford is available from work almost any time.
The electronics are from the house, and also available.
Just say the word.
Tim
Dang Tim, I was being dense the other night... :>Anyway, thanks a lot for the offer. Like you said, Kevin is probably closer, but I guess we can just see how it works out. I wish my roommate was into this stuff; he's got a full size Chevy. His generosity ends with running me to the hardware store for materials, though.
