Well, I have links to patents that are about a month old and still work, so a direct link should be perfectly suitable for the purposes of this board. I assume anyone who's really interested will save the images anyway.John
I had to go back and re-do all the links in my 'favorites' index as they started to expire. Unless you do a direct number search the link will expire eventually. I recommend only bookmarking to the direct patent number.
"The [Images] button links are valid only for a fixed period from the time each search is conducted and the hit list generated. This period varies as dictated by security needs; it is usually set to two hours, but may be as short as ten minutes. If this time period expires, the user must execute another search to generate a hit list which will lead to valid image links."
My browser opens the images with Quicktime, but it takes forever to scroll down the page and it won't let me save or print the text or images.
It's the best I've ever found.And it's free.
You may have to go to Mac for the appropriate tool, if you're using same.Tim
Yes - you need a different TIFF viewer, as DJK mentioned. There is more info available on the patent site. If for some reason you can't get it to work and you really want to read it, email me and I can send you the files.John
