Forgot to mention I biamped my speakers crossing over at approximately 800hz. Thought 800hz sounded about the best after trying several points between 600hz and 1200hz. Also don't forget Older JBL speakers were different than most speakers with the Black post being positive, and the red post being negative.
The d130 on Edgar titan 2 sounded better than 416z in a5 from 200 to 400.
416z in a sounded better than jbl/titan from 400 to 800.
Is it the cab or speaker or combination
Overall I preferred the a5 to titsn2...but wonder if I can get the best of both.
All the JBL stuff is backwards like that. I had 2" compression drivers with the same polarity reversal and currently have THX Power amplifiers that have a different pinout from industry standard XLR connectors.
Pisses me off because there is not technical reason for this other than "We are JBL and we can do what we want."
Swapping connector pins to make them work is not the end of the world, but still created an "odd Duck" cable that must be labeled and can't be used elsewhere.
Can't fight stupidity, I guess.
