Sorry guys. No this is not a plastic horn. It is a JBL 2441 compression driver that has a throat inside the driver that I believe is made from bakelite. I'm not talking about the horn, I'm talking about the driver.
Guess I should look at mine sometime.
My guess is that the cracks may have little audible effect -- but that's a SWAG (at best).

Must be modified or a cheap import knockoff.
No, the tapered tube inside the driver between the phase plug and the opening is either plastic or Bakelite. I have seen them broken before.
He might be able to work some epoxy into the cracks with his fingers.
