Hey Fred: I have the tweeter from my Klipsch H3 off of the baffle an fitted onto a small "L-bracket" which sits up on top of the cabinet almost at the beery back of the cabinet. The centre of the tweeter top plate and the mid driver's top plate are physically aligned with each other. Looking at it with the tweeter so far back on the top one would think it could not possibly blend properly with the mid horn but it does and the improvement is significant with much improved focus. I did place some 1/2" thick high density fiberglass damping on top of the cabinet in front of the tweeter but this was an after thought and it does not provide much benefit past making me feel a little better.
Give your idea a try and see what you think.

My response is "why bother"
Hey Claude: are you asking me of Fred? For me the answer is just as was stated much improved focus. For a while I ran the Heresy as a two way with the Peavey CH1 which I bought from you. I had them positioned to the side of the cabinet long axis vertical and aligning the driver top plate to the woofer top plate had the same effect better focus.

I guess I wasn't sure what the goal was. That horn is designed for a 2" driver, right?
