These new Klipsch Forte's were one of the best sounding speakers at CES.

At that price is it better than Golden Ear Triton? I would like a review by KR in Stereophile.

I've not heard cones in the mids sound as good as the big new horns (as in the new Forte).
any horns like that midhorn available to the general public?

Thanks, that answers it for me.

A review is coming when these speakers come on the market later this year.
Is that reasonable?
(I like them, but remember when the MSRP was $1085/pair)
Given the small remaining dealer base and niche market for such a product, the list price seems reasonable. Many loudspeakers targeting today's audiophile offer much less and cost much more.
I found Klipsch also offers a $3600 version, and that they increased the dealer mark-up from when I was a dealer
- - saw an ad for one K-horn shipped = $6000
I'd might not get more than one tenth of 12,000 for my pair of 81 K-horn

Nice to see an improved Forte. I hope this means the Chorus III is next This is a great move from Klipsch.
High sensitivity, wide dynamic range, low distortion, and smooth frequency response. Pwk
