I'm sorry. I don't understand. Could you please explain? If you were trying to be funny at my expense, I don't appreciate it. I have a sincere query and need help. If you were trying to help in all earnestness, then I sincerely apologize for the misunderstanding.

When it comes to anything Klipsch, ignore Tom. He has a pathological hatred of Klipsch, and has nothing better to do than hop from forum to forum to bash Heresys and LaScalas. Just bashing, never anything useful. As to his Skilsaw comment, he went to the Chris Myers school of comedy. If you think its funny once, you'll love it 10 more times.

You're tilted alright. As I've said many times, I think the Cornwall and Khorn are good speakers. And I've offered suggestions on how to improve the sound of LaScalas. But when one has fallen from the fold and left the cult their Heresy (pun intended) must be fought. And I've also offered the VERY helpful suggestion to Klipsch owners that they get some Altecs. Of course many heretical Klipschites replace the Klipsch horns and drivers with Altecs don't they? As long as they keep the Klipsch box they're evidently in good standing.
As for the Skilsaw thing, well I've compared the Heresy with other industrial tools such as arc-gouges, sawzalls and Chicago Bridge "harley" air grinders. But the skilsaw seems so fitting, people know exactly what I mean. Though I suppose one could compare Heresys to the strapado, the rack, thumbscrews and the unpleasant death of Jacob Greathouse on the Ohio at the hands of the Shawnees.
Know what? This weekend, I spent a bit of time listening to my Fisher 500C on the Cornwalls. This is an astonishingly "warm" combination. The MR and HF drivers and horns on the Cornwalls (same as the Heresys of the same era, I think) can get pretty brutal depending upon program material and amplification, but they were pretty well behaved with the 500C. Bass of this ol' warhorse receiver, though, is a bit "whumph-y"... more the lush, romantic, boozy/hazy 'tube sound' that folks who don't like tube sound complain about. The EICO HF-81 is all-around better sounding, but the 500C certainly made music effortlessly on the big ol' Cornies. One of the Cornies is hiding under the 500C, and behind the Allison One and a Bob Brines-esque ML TQWT in the photo that should be visible above.Back on topic: in fairness, it's certainly possible that the Heresy III's are different than their progenitors.
mrh---Yeah, the good bass response of the Cornwall gives them a robust tonal balance that softens the ferocity of the mid and tweeter. The Cornwall adds good bass to the basic Klipsch virtues of excellent clarity and dynamics, it's a good speaker.Agreed that the Heresy III may be an improved speaker, the Heresy II also used an improved tweeter over the original.
Tommy doesn't like the old Heresy, but I'm pretty sure he hasn't heard the new one.The old EV T35/Klipsch K77 was a horrible tweeter (hence the Skill-saw reference), the newer one came out in 1985 sounded vastly better. The newest one is closer to the 1985 one (in sound).
