Unless your TV is running windoze, I think the "app" you are using is actually a browser? If so, it is my understanding Amzon's browser streaming does not support lossless or hirez.

That's one of the reasons I moved to QOBUZ, which I stream using an RPI.

Nah, he can easily use the Amazon Music app with a smart TV or an external device. I stream Amazon Music on my TV using a Roku stick and it has all the same features and functions as the PC app. It shows high res music, although I can't swear that it is as I'm running the TV sound through a 5.1 surround system.
