I'm not sure why you think FiiO players won't stream QOBUZ. I subscribed to QOBUZ for about six months. I only quit because I didn't listen to it that much. All FiiO players that I've owned will stream any of the streaming websites you want. I've owned the M9, the M11, the M11 Pro, and I now own the M11 Plus LTD and the M15.If you don't want to spend $2000, buy the M11 Plus LTD from Amazon for $750. FiiO used to have more players until AKM closed down because of a factory fire. FiiO used AKM DAC chips exclusively so the fire at the AKM factory caused problems for FiiO. They're currently switching to ESS DACs and the new M17 has a pair of ES9038PRO DAC chips. Apparently, they had some AKM DAC chips left over so their new FiiO M11 Plus LTD uses AK4497EQ DACs.
However, when AKM was still in business, FiiO had players priced from $300 for the M9 through $1300 for the M15. In my opinion, FiiO players are the best thing going because they are totally autonomous. I plug mine directly into my Parasound Halo A21 power amplifier with balanced cables and that amplifier drives my B&W PM1 speakers. FiiO players have both balanced and unbalanced analog outputs and they'll all stream QOBUZ. You just have to download the QOBUZ App through the Google App Store. They work just like a smartphone.
Good luck,
John Elison

Thanks John . I was looking at FiiO's own website and also Amazon's product description. I guess I was expecting that the Qobuz API may have been installed. Of course if it works like an Android phone in this respect then the relevant Qobuz app can be installed.

Yes, the Google Play Store App is installed on the FiiO so you can easily download any other App you want.
These players are really great! They have become my main digital player. The fact that they're portable only adds to their utility.
I used to use a Mytek Brooklyn Bridge with my computer and JRiver. However, after discovering FiiO, I no longer bother with my Brooklyn Bridge. I discovered that the FiiO players sound just as good or even better than my Brooklyn Bridge and they're much easier to use. At least, I find them easier to use than having to connect a computer to my stereo system. I never liked that aspect of digital music playing. I much prefer having an autonomous digital player/streamer that I can hold in my hand. However, if you don't want to hold it in your hand, you can load the FiiO Music App onto your smartphone and control the FiiO player with your smartphone or tablet. These FiiO players are really great!
Best regards,
John Elison
