Is it possible to run these without connecting to a screen? I kind of assume not because I'm sure it's all menu driven. I could probably memorize a sequence of buttons to get it going if I have to.

I have the Chailly/RCO performances that I like very much. I do struggle to get past the 5th though. $40 a piece seems a it steep. Naxos set is advertised for $109 (if I could find it).

    Well, if I need a screen I'll pass. I'll just be happy with the RCO performances. I do wonder why they were DVD/BluRay video releases, seems odd to me that there was not cd. I guess Chailly wanted to be on the TV!

      It sits off to the side and only gets used when I play a DVD-Audio or Blu-ray audio disk. I don't like having to use one, but that is the nature of those formats.

        That is something I had considered in the past. "Small monitors" are not easy to find, nobody wants small. Laptop? Don't know if that would work.

        I found mine at the Goodwill, and you could probably find one in a local yard sale. You are right, nobody wants small ones, but that is why you should be able to find one cheap. Mine is an LG, and it works pretty well actually.

        I do see some on Amazon for not too much, but I'm wondering if I could use my Macbook Pro for music storage and as a screen for the BluRay player., it does have an HDMI input (one of the last to have it I think). I don't know how the connections would work though. I need a new machine for daily use anyway, jealous of my girls' new MB Airs we bought them, maybe one for me too.
