Still awaiting Frank I's review?
Frank I- we are ready for your review of the SA-10.
Owners- how is your player coming along in your system?
Not sure why Frank I did not post his review back in June?
Anyone visit a dealer/retailer that has a SA-10 in stock?
Frank I- will drop his review in October.

The sound is definitely inviting. The unit is different that the Marantz warm sound . The SA10 has excellent inner detail and thunderous bass. Musical and more analytical but the sacd and redbook is excellent. I have not run the dac separately yet.The build is first rate and everything sound musical and hearing good inner detail with musicality. More to come.

Hello Owners of the unit: Does it play SACD-R discs? I don't mean discs burnt with the.DSF file format (which I know it does), but rather discs burnt with an .ISO file obtained from older Sony Playstation units. Thanks.

Looking forward to Frank I 's review and report.
A few are for sale on ebay too!
still (1) avail on Audiogon.
if/when you guys get a demo- give a shout -out for your dealer/retailer.
I could not find the review- Frank I ?
more reviews coming?
Nice update- Frank I.
I wonder if you (or anyone) can compare it to the SA14. I recently bought one of those, and am fairly satisfied, although in general my vinyl rig is more exciting to listen to.
My system has oodles of inner detail but benefits from warmth, so I'm not sure that switching from the SA14 to the SA10 would be a good idea. ($$ not withstanding).
airheadair-
did you demo the SA-10?
No good relying on others demos, you have to demo the SA-10 for yourself.
Strange? It appears that Frank I has deleted his AA acount???
Old news .
Hopefully, more audiophiles will buy the SA-10 in 2018.
Fantja Forget the expensive SA-10 Buy the excellent Sony UBP-1000ES absolute bargain, far superior in every way to the unlistenable (for me) Oppo 205 piece of junk.

Another review in recent What?HiFi magazine.
IMO Franks review of the Oppo 205 was absolute nonsense, like all the other reviews of this piece of junk. Via analogue I found the 205 unlistenable and sold it on at a loss. As for the overpriced Marantz SA-10 you will not find a better more accurate review than the one from Hired Fox who is familiar with all the High end Marantz players and like myself has had many discussions with the designer Ken Ishiwata. H.F. said the SA-10 was excellent for stereo SACD but for CD not as good as previous top end Marantz player.

Laughing....
Possibly, Disbeliever.
I will be able to do this with the SA8005 its coming today. Not the 14. This is not warm as most typical Marantz units are. S=I will be getting more detailed information as I progress with the review.
Ping- Frank I
Frank I - when does your review drop?
FRank I-- is your review posted?

I have my review sample just got her today . I start posting impressions after awhile.
I have been too consumed with reveling in orgasmic ecstasy to post, well actually......mine is still on order
Oh.....and...I just purchased a Shunyata Sigma Digital power cord to use with the SA-10 when it arrives, holy smokes! the Sigma certainly comes with fancy packaging.
As it should- stator.
...you are too curious to find out....just like the rest of us :-) It better be good for $7k. Do you know if it supports Blu-Ray audio? Wish the price was in the SA11 series range. This is the year of loudspeaker change for me. So this Marantz is not on my list. But if the Oppo is anywhere neat $1.5K, it certainly would be.
The unit is not a DVD or blueray player so it wont support those but does DSD files through uSB
