According to today's news the Seattle Symphony Media issue of music by Henri Dutilleux has won the Grammy for Surround Sound. Every advert I can find for this (these?) issue(s), there may be three of them, shows only standard resolution stereo CDs. Can anyone enlighten me what format the surround issue is in - and can it be purchased?

I have, the Trondheim disc is magnificent in all respects - wonderful surround recording. Might tackle the Corigliano too.

Dave, if you click "buy " on the Seattle Symph Media page you will find that it is also available for streaming and download from various "partners". The only one that seems to do hi-rez is Primephonic and that, I suspect, may be where you will find the MCH version.Good luck with Dutilleux. I had enough of him during his centenary last year. Perhaps I am more aligned with his antithesis Messiaen but I really don't like him much either :-)

Thanks - I haven't the set-up to play MCH FLAC so I'll pass. Pity, but I too am only slightly attracted to Dutilleux and like you much prefer Messiaen.

I forget whether you're on Windows or Macintosh, but I use Max on my Mac - it no longer seems to be supported, but it's free and it still works just fine. I've also used dBpoweramp which is available for both platforms, but which seems to have more capabilities for Windows than for Mac.
