That said, will likely pull the trigger Reiner's Das Lied, which I think is scandalously underrated, and the Munch Daphnis in 196/24 PCM.
Reiner's Pines, too. Was very disappointed in the Neshling/BIS, but I tried!
Do you think Reiner's "Spain," and Ravel/Rachmaninov DSD are must-haves?
Follow Ups:
Ravel/Rachmaninoff = "The Reiner Sound"? If so, it's good too, but I feel some parts of the Rapsodie espagnole are afflicted by tape deterioration in (surprisingly) the softer parts.
I'm a fan of Reiner's "Das Lied" too. As for Munch's "Daphnis" I like his later (1962?) recording better than his earlier one. And of course, Reiner's Pines and Fountains album is a classic (but I like Neshling too!).
