MusicDirect, AccousticSounds, Ebay, Amazon, I guess?
I haven't bought a SACD in almost 10 years, so I'll let others chime in on more current vendors.
Good luck, Chris

Hi Chris,
I played the Rolling Stones Flowers last night with equally breathtaking results. I wish I had bought all of the Stones' SACDs. I am sure I will be able to track down something interesting to play on this.
Dave
and I have a few of the older ones that aren't terrible, but the SACDs are noticeably cleaner sounding.
If you're into the 60s rock/blues/folk scene, my sisters got me Bob Dylan's box set of 14 albums/15 discs which while not my cup of tea, sound really nice. You see a lot of these discs for sale, for cheap, if you don't want to splurge on the entire package.
You might follow Ebay for a while and see if you can cherry pick some deals down the road.
Get a list in order, or just buy what you see, which is what most of us here did in the very beginning, just buy what was out there and looked interesting.
Most were hits, some were misses, like Billy Holliday, the Miles Davis Christmas Eve recording in NYC and even the Janis Joplin number.
I stopped at about ~177 discs, which I still have today.
Ted Smith, one of the mods here and early adpoters, I think had close to every title printed--4,500+ at last count!
Chris
It sounds like I am going to have to kul some of the record collection to make room. That will make my wife happy! I think I will stop short of the 4K mark, but it would be nice to have some good music that sounds this good. I do like Dylan and will check out his box set. I suspect some of the more obscure 60's and 70's stuff I like did not make it to SCAD. I'll bet that there is a lot of good classical and Jazz.
Dave
I don't recommend eBay but you can definitely put together a good SACD collection for cheap if you look around and don't mind buying a used copy. This Dylan title is a great place to start for under $8.

That is a good price and Blood on the Tracks is one of my favorite Dylan albums. I was surprised to see that there were even some good prices at Music Direct. Some classical SACDs were under $10. This is why I prefer to adopt technologies when they are obsolete!
Dave
I wish I had your patience. Of course if it wasn't for early adopters like us, you'd have even slimmer pickings than you find now.

You have a point there. Thanks! My income and the fact that I am supporting 3 generations (wife, daughter, son-in-law, grandson) in my house also keeps me from bing a early adoptor.
Dave
My daughter is not even six months old but the thought of supporting her future husband and child all in my tiny house definitely put the fear in me.

Be afraid! Be very afraid!
Dave
(Actually, it's not all that bad. I get to see my grandson a lot!)
although, I bet I could sell my ~177 discs right now, all of them used and some of them hit with Auric Illuminator, for more than I paid for them, easily.
I have more than a few of boutique titles, no doubt, but I'll 'never' sell my software. I'd sell all of my stereo crap before I'd let my records, CDs, DVD~As and SACDs go.
