I did more research on it. The RF-500TB 12560 is not the sled motor. It is the sliding door drive motor (bummer, I've ordered 9 of them!). Although they look similar on pictures, it is much larger and more powerful motor than the one for the sled. The sled motor part is Mabuchi RF-300CH 11400. It is not to be confused with RF-300CH 11440, which is exactly like the 11400, but is much weaker. Unlike for the RF-500TB, there is not much offer for RF-300CH. I found only one supplier (Kysan) who had them. They had 18 pieces @ 1.60, with a minimum purchase of $100. I purchased them all + some more stuff to make up to the minimum. I don't need 18 pieces, so if interested, e-mail. I am not seeking any profit for myself.

Do you still have the sled motor for the SCD-1 available for sale?
Part number was posted on Audiogon for SCD-1 repair indicated below.
The sled motor part is Mabuchi RF-300CH 11400
Welcome! stevebraxton-
hope you find the parts for your spinner.
I have been in contact with Kysan Electronics, they tell me they have 400 Mabuchi RF-300CH 11400 motors instock here in the USA.
Can anyone verify they are in fact the direct replacement to the out of stock Sony sled motors for the SCD-1/777 models?
If they are, maybe we can come up with enough interest to do a group buy, as they have a minimum $ requirement for all orders. Anyone in?
I have a limited supply of RF-300CH 11400 motors available for $6.00 each plus shipping and I plan to order more shortly if interest warrants it. (The first lot is basically sold out. I have just 3 left for sale.) These are sans gears, and sleds. Just motors. These are new production items I had built to order.
Email me directly if interested.
You will need to devise some sort of gear puller in order to remove the gear from the old motor.
I've sold out on this lot of motors. Let me know if there is any interest and I will order more. Turn around time is pretty quick. Again this is the RF-300CH 11400.. (motor only)
I may be able to source some other motors as well. Let me know and I will investigate.

I just checked at the Kysan website and the RF-300CH 11400 is in stock. I'm looking for a few other people to go in with me to reach their $100 minimum order.I need 10 for me and my friends. Any others care to join? Ultimately if not I will eventually buy the minimum and sell them on a case by case basis, but I'd prefer to go in knowing at least some of these are sold.
Something to bear in mind here, this is just the motor, not the entire assembly with motor, board, stamped chassis, gear, and shafts. This is part of the reason why these motors are cheap and the Sony part is not. You will need to remove the existing gear from your old motor (carefully) for reuse, and install this motor in the existing assembly.
Note that the mechanism is identical in the SCD-1 and SCD-777ES and this motor may be used in either.
Paypal will be fine for payment. Let me know if you are interested.
Haven't heard back from him for quite alwhile...

Got in touch with the supplier in CA. He did indeed have them in stock and very nicely offer to send me only 2 units per my request even though there is a min order requirement. I explained to him I was an end user and had no need to buy bulk, he graciously offer to just send the 2 out. A very nice guy!It has been reported on this site that Sony is carrying this part in stock for repairs to units in for service but no longer offers it on it's parts web site. At under $2 a pop, I couldn't resist to get a couple to put away just in case.
or you sent me a mistake...
Rick
Anatoly,
Why did you send me 2 YG300R-11440 motors instead of the RF-300CH-11400?
I have been saving these for when my sled motor fails, and I just looked under the Kysan label (P/N11121013)... I'm assuming these are worthless....
Rick
I don't like the sound of this post!
I hope that somehow these are good, but I don't see how when the part number is the same (except for the 2 starting letters) as the motor Anatoly said to not get confused with...
Rick
check your mail.
i CAN USED 5
Do you still have any sled motor left? I need 1 for my SCD-1. Thanks
JC
or even one if that's all you have.Reply yea or nay if I can get two or even one and let me know the payment details.
Thanks Chris
The motor I described is not exactly what Sony was selling for $86. The Sony part is assembly, whereas RF-300CH is just a motor. This means that replacing a motor will require recycling of mounting bracket and a little gear that is pressed onto the shaft. This is how it looks in the SCD-1 service manual.Removing the gear from the old motor may require a custom-made puller.

I got messages from two folks, and was able to reply to one person below, but all my other messages bounced back. I guess my server is overzealous about spam. Please e-mail me directly, matrosovhero@yahoo.comMost of you want 2 or 3, but I don't have enough. However, I can promise that every person below will get at least one.
The question was raised whether the motor has PCB lugs or wire terminals. I do not know for sure. The picture on the Kysan site shows a motor with wires. However, this is a generic picture for all the motors of this type that they have. Description of RF-300CH 11400 says it has lug terminals.

over
charging as much as they were for these! Please email your address and I'll get payment out to you on Monday.
forgot to include my add/zip... Alexandria, VA 22315.
I would like three motors, but I could not get through to your email address. Please email me and I will reply directly. For what it's worth, I was the one who originally posted that Sony had discontinued the motors. Thanks,
But to Switzerland - OK?If that's too much hassle, and I understand it could be, I can give you an address in the USA, zip 22151
Hi,From my observation also, RF-300 is the right one, RF-500 looks too big.
There are two versions, one with lead wires, one with PCB terminals, did you get the right ones..?
I would take two also, if you can check the shipping and send it to Slovenia..?
I will pay you total amount with shipping in advance.
I tried sending you and email a while ago, and just got it back... something wrong with your email address?
I would like to purchase 3 of the motors if you have them? Can you tell me how you would like me to pay you? Thanks,
Forgot to give you my zip... 98902Thanks,
