SACD is clearly not meant for DIY audio, as the discs cannot be written or read on a PC. Therefore DVD-A is the only currently workable solution if you want to put the recordings on a hi-rez disc.

But DVDA hirez software is expensive and very difficult to find. Labels are dishonest still and advanced resolution is still 48k/16 bit for some labels.I recently bought the only 192 k DVDA that I didi not have for 2.5 times the price of SACDs only to find that it is remastered 1960s material!
