Since you mention it, I wonder if I kept the video "off" on my Sony DVP-S9000ES when I moved it into my bedroom... do the settings stay "off" or do I have to move a TV in the bedroom and re-do it?(And if the video circuitry is "off", how can I see it on the TV screen? :)

HowdyI never hooked up video to mine.
There are three settings which matter IMO. Video off, display off and digital output circuitry off. Between the front panel and the remote they are all controllable, but I forget which is which and I can't find my remote just now :)
