This sounds like excellent news. SACD could need some boosting in Europe.
So here's to hoping that this will follow through. If so, then it will look grim for DVD-Audio in Europe, as you write yourself. With the non-existant SACD advertising here in my country, there is still a majority that thinks SACD is the best bet of a survivor. This is the general feeling amongst audiophile that haven't bought SACD equipment yet.
This could also mean some more non-jazz and -classical releases. This would be very welcome ;)
