Your suggestion would not yield a good sounding digital copy because a tape designed specifically for cutting vinyl masters would have been EQ'ed to phono RIAA standards which would not be necessary in digital. The answers to your three questions are1. Yes

Using the same analog tape to master both vinly LP and SACD (or CD) would be a valid comparison as long as either no additional EQ/compression/other processing was applied or precisely the *same* processing was applied to both.The reverse RIAA eq is applied in the cutting preamp and would not be present on any master tape. (The tape used as the cutting master for making vinyl LPs may very well have EQ and compression that is tailored for mastering vinyl but could still be used as a basis for comparison if one wanted to do that.)
After all, it's common sense.In the days of the LP the EQ'ed masters — which were created by making copies of what has come to be known as the original master tape, which was, itself, created by mixing the original session tapes to something satisfactory in (usually) two channels, from which the RIAA ED'ed master tape was then made.
The tapes from which vinyl records were pressed were, thus, at least two but more often three generations away from the original session tapes.

Maybe it was done this way at the outset of tape-mastered LPs? Otherwise, the reverse RIAA is done in the cutting preamp electronics, as the lacquer is being cut. The tape that's running in the machine at this point would be perfectly fine for mastering to SACD, and a comparison would be 'valid'. I saw your post as 'disagreeing' [perhaps the wrong word] with the original poster's hypothesis, which was that a tape that had been "pre-EQ'd" for vinyl mastering could still serve as the mastering source tape for both vinyl LP and SACD in a comparison. Any "pre-EQ" [and probably compression] that was meant "specifically for vinyl" would not include inverse-RIAA eq.
